MASwings Integrates Administration and Ticketing Operations at Sibu Airport
Sibu: Effective 16th April 2012, Malaysia Airlines and MASwings will cease their city office operations in Sibu and consolidate their administration unit functions and ticketing operations at Sibu Airport from that day.
MASwings Sales & Administration Manager Sarawak, Abu Bakar Sahadar said, “This initiative is part of our ongoing effort to consolidate direct distribution channel operations for ticketing and related services at one centralize location in Sibu”.
Currently, the reservations and ticketing services operation hours at the Sibu town office is from 8.30am – 5.00pm from Monday to Friday only. With the office consolidation, the ticketing office at Sibu airport will operate daily including public holidays from 6.00am to 8.30pm.
“With the extended hours daily operations of our ticketing office at Sibu airport, we will be able to cater to the travel needs of more customers, especially those who need to catch their flight urgently out of Sibu,” said Abu.
The consolidation of the ticketing office at Sibu airport is to meet the expectations of the increasing number of customers at the airport instead of the town office. With this integration, walk-in customers get to enjoy a wider range of air travel related services at Sibu airport to finalise their travel formalities with Malaysia Airlines and MASwings.

This initiative is also part of MASwings’ effort to consolidate all operational and support departments under one roof for better coordination and closer interaction amongst staff.
