MASwings to introduce self check-in kiosks by June

Starting next month, MASwings Sdn Bhd (MASwings) passengers in Sarawak and Sabah will be able to check in without much hassle, with the implementation of the self check-in kiosks.

MASwings chairman Tengku Datuk Azmil Zahruddin said the self check-in kiosks would be introduceding Kuching and Kota Kinabalu by the end of June.

"We are also continuously pursuing staff development and other training programmes to enhance competency and capability," he said, at the unveiling of the new MASwings uniform for cabin crew and ground staff by Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister, Tan Sri Dr George Chan here Saturday.

Azmil, who also Malaysia Airline (MAS) managing director and chief executive officer said to date, MASwings had operated more than 960 flights a week, carrying more than 90,000 passengers per month.

"In addition MASwings has also achieved a very commendable On-Time-Performance (OTP) of 95 percent in the first quarter of this year” he disclosed.
