Bintulu: Malaysia Airlines and MASwings will cease ticketing operations at Bintulu town office effective 14th November 2009 and integrate this service at Bintulu Airport.
MASwings Regional Manager Sarawak, Mohd Suffian Abdul Malik said, “ This initiative is part of our ongoing effort to consolidate direct distribution channel operations for ticketing and related services at one centralize location in Bintulu”.
Currently, the ticketing operation hours at town office is from 8.30am – 5.00pm from Monday to Friday only. With the office consolidation, the ticketing office at Bintulu airport will operate daily including public holiday from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
“With the presence of the ticketing office which operates seven days a week at Bintulu airport, we will be able to provide almost uninterrupted service to the travelling public”, said Suffian.
The consolidation of our ticketing office is to facilitate the increasing numbers of visitors at the airport counter instead of the town office. With this, a wider range of air travel related services for walk in passengers to finalise their travel documentation matters is made available at the airport.
Among the services offered for walk in customers at Bintulu airport ticketing office are:
a .Reservations and Ticketing for:
- Malaysia Airlines flight
- Malaysia Airlines subsidiary MASwings
- Malaysia Airlines code share partner flights
b. Reissuance of tickets for travel on Malaysia Airlines and MASwings
c. Malaysia Airlines Frequent Flyer programmes:
- Mileage points redemption for Enrich members
- Validity extension of Enrich points
- Top up mileage points for redemption ticketing
d. MAS Holidays facilities
- Reservations, Payment, Ticketing and Documentation.
e. Refunds Processing of:
- Ticketing by any Malaysia Airlines ticketing offices in Malaysia
- Ticketing by any MASwings ticketing offices in East Malaysia
- Payments made online for internet booking
- Payments made through the 24 hours call centre 1-300-88-3000
f. Internet Booking Kiosk
The Internet booking kiosk will be made available soon at Bintulu ticketing airport to cater to the needs our customers in view of the ever-increasing customer patronage.
