Kopivosian Om Kounsikaan Do Tadau Tagazo Kaamatan … In celebration of Sabah’s Harvest Festival, MASwings employees gathered at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport this morning (27 May) to give out goodies packs to passengers.
Many passengers were pleasantly surprised with the goodies packs comprising local delicacy, kuih cincin. Foreign passengers were especially intrigued by this traditional kuih, one of Sabah’s favourite snacks.
The gifts were given out as MASwings celebrates its 1st Hari Kaamatan with the people of Sabah since the airline launched in October last year. Throughout the Kaamatan festivities in the month of May, many people travel back to their villages to give thanks and celebrate a good harvest with their families and friends.
MASwings commenced its operations on October 1 2007, offers 660 weekly flights, which serves a network of 22 destinations in Sarawak and Sabah as well as the Federal Territory of Labuan. It currently has a fleet of 7 Fokker 50 and 5 Twin Otter aircraft.
